I met my boyfriend (my Mr. Important) online almost a year ago. He lived 1300 km away so it didn't take us long to decide that one of us (me) would have to relocate. I did so about 9 months ago. It's our first Valentine's Day together and we're really excited. :)

Happy Anniversary, Pam.
I met Mr. Right on the stairs at Sonoma State and I did the Snoopy Dance when I got home and he had called. My Avatar is a picture of our honeymoon in Spain.
Okay so it's Valentine Weekend and I don't have some special man in my life--that's okay! I met a very good friend of mine four years ago at a writer's conference. We just clicked and hung out that weekend, and now exchange calls at least four times a week. I may not have come out of that conference with an agent but I snagged a great friend instead!
I met my husband in the parking lot of the PX on a military base. My brother in law did not want to introduce us because he did not think he would be good for me. We will be married 34 years in April.

Ok, I'm going to in a different direction here. My husband and I tried everything to get pregnant. After trying for more than 8 years, we had had enough. We had his 3 kids and they were great and we decided that was plenty. Six months after we stopped trying, I had to be rushed to the hospital because my organs were shutting down. Trust me, if you've ever been close to death, you know what it feels like. My gallbladder was actually so big it was pushing against my lungs and heart. I had to have it removed and then I had to stay in the hospital for 3 days. A few months later, I was pregnant. Nothing can compare to the way I felt when my son was placed on my chest and he looked up at me for the first time. I still get goosebumps thinking about it and it's been 2 years.
Congrats Pam on 18 hopefully wonderful years. Hope they have been everything you have wanted out of them. Last August 11 we celebrated our 20th, 4 years and 3 days from the day we met. The night we met I was at the rehersal supper of a classmate of yours and mine (who will be celebrating her 25th this August), when a guy who worked for my mom and dad crashed the party with a friend of his. Those two invited me to come with them following the party to go to one of the local bars. Had a wonderful time!!! Hadn't heard from the new friend after our meeting and decided that do some slueting to find his number to thank him for the enjoyable evening. He said he wasn't going to call me as he new I was leaving to go to school in 6 weeks. We have been a couple ever since. If I hadn't instigated the "Thank You" call we probably would never be together today. So glad I jumped out of my comfort zone and made that call!!!!
Meeting my husband - I went to tech school with his sister. She showed me a picture of her family. I pointed to her brother and said who is that? She said my brother Tony. I said does he like to hunt and fish? She said yes. I said I'm going to marry him someday. I hadn't even met him yet. One day I was at her house and we were going out. I whispered to her to see if Tony wanted to come with. He did. Next day she called me and said would you go out with him if he called you? I said yes. That day he was supposed to call my phone was out - I went into town to use the pay phone to call him. We went out and had a good time. Next day I was run over by my own car and had a bad leg injury. (long story) - he came to the hospital to see me everyday. A year later we were married. Wonder if I hadn't took the initiative to go to town to call him and if I hadn't been hurt things would have worked out the same.
My husband and I met at a wedding. His best friend married mine. I was the maid of honor; he was the best man. They'd tried fixing us up before, but I'd always refused because at the time, he lived in another state, a good 7 hours away. But it was definitely love at first sight when I saw him at the rehearsal dinner. We've been together 12 years, married for 10. :)
Happy Anniversary!!!
I met my Mr. Important (hubs of 23 years) through my older sister. My sister tried to fix us up. Since he is five years older than me, he said I was too young. Months later, I was out with my sister one night. He saw me, and asked my sister who I was. She told him. He laughed and said, "If I'd said yes six months ago, we'd already be married!"

I met my husband at work - cliche though it may be. However, I went in for the interview in September, didn't start the job until January & then he used up a month & a half of vacation days before he ever made it into the office. But, & here's the cool part, between my interview & start date, he was the only person I remembered. I even dreamed about him which is only weirder because we weren't even introduced until the end of February. Gotta love love & it's powers of observation.
Happy Anniversary,
Patti
Happy Anniversary
My husband and I met over the computer system at the college we attended. I was having problems with getting a computer program to work and he was one of the TAs.
