I'm rising to the challenge of the lucky seven blog post excerpt after being tagged by Nerine Dorman.
Rules are:
1. Go to page 77 in current manuscript.
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy the next 7 lines, making no changes.
4. Tag 7 more authors via Facebook.
Here's mine from Serpent Fire, the second book in the Angels of Death series:
Her? Uriel stood and turned, tension pulsating through his veins along with his pounding blood. Surely Seraphiel didn't mean Karla.
The doors swung open on creaking hinges and Uriel grabbed the back of the bench, knuckles whitening as Karla, halberd in hand, marched up the aisle, followed by Kemuel. When she reached the altar, Kemuel prodded her in the back.
Karla kneeled. Seraphiel nodded at Kemuel and the angel disappeared. Seraphiel held out his hand to Karla and helped her up. He kissed her on both cheeks. "Welcome, Azrael."
