This week I reached a milestone. I wrote 75k words on a new project. For someone who always seemed to end my stories at 50k, I worried I'd never write a novel-length work. Granted, I have 25k words to go but I'm determined to finish this WIP at 100k words.
Why? Two reasons. As I've mentioned previously, Angry Robot is opening their doors to unsolicited submissions in March. I don't want to miss that opportunity. Another reason: I'll have a novel to submit to an agent or a publisher.
On another note, I'd like to share an Amazon review I received from K. Duncan regarding Death Sword:
"I slipped easily into Death Sword's world from the very first page. The characters each have distinct personalities and the bad angels are believably dangerous. The author did a great job of building and maintaining the action and tension. The battle scenes at the end are great. I don't know much about angel-lore and while the book contains a lot of it, I never felt lost. If you like dark angels and urban fantasy, this book is well worth your time."
Back to writing!

Fantastic review! On the writing front I'm just under 75k words myself. Shall we mutually crit each other's AR submissions? (We're working to the same deadlines, after all)
Thanks, Nerine. :-) Shooting for 100k on the AR submission. Sounds good on the crits. Just send me yours when you're ready.
Only 23k to go... (Head -> Desk)
