Last week I posted six truths and one lie or six lies and one truth as part of a condition for the "Creative Writer Blogger" award.
First, thanks for playing. Hope it was an amusing diversion. :-)
And now the six lies and one truth:
1. I grew up on a dairy farm.
Lie. While I did live on my grandmother's poultry farm for a short time, I spent most of my childhood growing up in small towns. Sorry, folks, I've no idea how to milk a cow, but I do know the difference between a Holstein and an Angus.
2. My parents met at the prom.
Lie. My parents met at a church young adults program.
3. My first pet was a cat.
Lie. My first pet was a dog, although I don't remember him. I think his name was "Skippy."
4. I had a solo part in Vivaldi's Gloria in college.
Truth. I sang the "Domine Deus, Agnus Dei" solo.
5. My first car was a Chevette.
Lie. It was an Olds Calais. I still believe it was cursed.
6. I once parachuted out of a plane.
Lie. I've taken flying lessons and attended ground school, but never jumped out of a plane, much to my flight instructor's relief. :-) No, I don't fly anymore. Bad depth perception.
7. A friend nicknamed me "Scorpion."
Lie. Oh, he has a nickname for me: "Viper."
Now back to your regularly scheduled mayhem.
