I don't know who came up with the analogy of comparing submitting a novel to riding a merry-go-round and trying to grab the brass ring (i.e. publishing contract), but it works for me.
Death Sword is currently making the rounds. The first in a planned series of four books, it's undergone significant changes over the past year. I'm still looking for places to submit it, in case my other choices don't work out.
I hate the uncertainty of not knowing, but there it is. Luckily, I enjoy the characters and they've become a part of my life, almost like a family. So I really can't abandon them now.
Time to get started on a new story. Otherwise, I'll spend way too much time biting my nails and worrying about the status of this one.
